History of the event and past editions:

In 2018, Anabela Rato and Suzi Lima organized the first edition of the Experimental Portuguese Linguistics Workshop, which intended to connect researchers from different fields of Linguistics working on varieties of Portuguese from an experimental perspective.

The workshop focus on the interaction between linguistic theories and experimental work on Brazilian, European, African and Asian varieties of Portuguese, Portuguese-based Creole languages as well as Portuguese as a heritage language.
